Who we are

The American Chain of Warehouses, Inc. (ACWI) is a nonprofit trade association serving the public warehouse and logistics industry. This policy explains how we handle personal information you share with us through acwi.org, LinkedIn lead forms, and other ACWI-operated channels.

Information we collect

Depending on how you interact with us, we may collect information such as your name, company, job title, email address, phone number, warehousing needs, and any message you send. This may come from:

• Contact forms and quote requests on acwi.org
• Website lead forms, including forms that offer downloadable guides or resources
• LinkedIn Lead Gen Forms and similar third-party lead capture tools
• Member sign-in and gated areas of the site
• Email, phone, text message, or in-person correspondence with ACWI staff
• Calls to ACWI's phone line, including call recordings and transcripts

How we use your information

We use the information you provide to:

• Respond to your inquiries and provide requested information or resources
• Deliver downloadable content, such as PDF guides, when you request them
• Share relevant ACWI news, events, and association resources
• Connect you with member services, quotes, or appropriate ACWI contacts
• Operate, secure, and improve our website and communications
• Meet legal, regulatory, or recordkeeping obligations

What we do not do

We do not sell your personal information. We do not share it with unrelated third parties for their own marketing purposes. No mobile information will be sold or shared with third parties for promotional or marketing purposes.

Text messaging (SMS)

If you ask us to text you, for example during a call with ACWI, we will send text messages to the mobile number you provide. Texts are low-volume and tied to your request: summaries of a call, links to resources, and follow-ups on what we discussed. We do not send bulk marketing or promotional texts.

• Consent. We text you only after you ask us to. Before the first text, we tell you that American Chain of Warehouses (ACWI) will text you, that message and data rates may apply, that you can reply STOP at any time, and where to find this policy. Consent to receive texts is not a condition of purchase or of ACWI membership.
• Opt out. Reply STOP to any message to stop receiving texts. You will receive one confirmation and no further messages.
• Help. Reply HELP for help, or email hello@acwi.org.
• Rates. Message and data rates may apply. Message frequency varies with your requests.
• Separate from email. Opting in to text messages is separate from email. Subscribing to one does not subscribe you to the other, and unsubscribing from one does not unsubscribe you from the other.

No mobile information will be sold or shared with third parties for promotional or marketing purposes. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent are not shared with any third parties or affiliates. We use service providers, such as a telecommunications carrier that delivers our messages, only to send and receive texts on our behalf.

Phone calls

Calls to ACWI's phone line may be answered by an automated phone assistant. Calls may be recorded and transcribed so that we can respond to your request, send follow-ups you ask for, and keep an accurate record. Recordings and transcripts are stored securely and are accessible only to authorized ACWI personnel and service providers acting on our behalf. If you do not want your call recorded, tell us at the start of the call or contact us by email instead.

Service providers

We may use trusted vendors (for example, website hosting, email delivery, analytics, or form processing) who handle data on our behalf under appropriate agreements and only as needed to support ACWI operations.

Your choices

You may opt out of non-essential marketing emails at any time by using the unsubscribe link in our messages or by contacting us directly. Requesting a resource or submitting a form does not require membership in ACWI.
