We’ve heard of hot cargo before, but ACWI-member Prism Team Services (A.K.A. Prism Logistics) found itself in a situation where that turns out to be literally true for one of its customers.

Prism provides warehouse logistics, order fulfillment and product distribution for many start-ups as well as for established companies that are growing in Northern California and nationally from its facilities located in Hayward, Sacramento, Stockton, Livermore and Modesto, California.

In July the company helped Lucky Dog Hot Sauce launch its newest flavor – Thai Chile Pineapple.

Lucky Dog CEO Scott Zalkind says Prism is his company’s key third-party logistics provider and an essential element in his company’s strategy for expanding sales of its award-winning hot sauces.

“Prism is my warehouse,” he declares. “Every time I’ve interacted with them it’s been phenomenal, and there’s economic value in the discounts Prism secures for me with their multi-client volume.”

Zalkind further explains, “For my business, Prism is not just a warehouse; they serve as my fulfillment center, basically. I love that they provide me with remote monitoring 24/7 access to my inventory – pretty cool and seamless.”

He cites Prism’s real-time tracking and reporting as having real value for him. There also is a huge time savings for Zalkind, who says he now can concentrate on selling his products and not have to be constantly concerned about distribution issues.

“Working with Prism is night and day different from what I had before,” Zalkind says. “Prism seems invested in my success and is a strategic partner for my business.”
