W. Paul Delp, president of Lansdale Warehouse Co., Lansdale, PA, has been named to the Railroad-Shipper Transportation Advisory Council of the U.S. Surface Transportation Board.

Delp also serves as president of the American Chain of Warehouses Inc. He has served on the board of directors of the International Warehouse Logistics Association and as co-chair of the IWLA’s Transportation Advisory Council (formerly known as the IWLA Rail Council).

RSTAC’s 15 appointed members consist of senior officials representing large and small shippers, as well as large and small railroads. In addition, the U.S. Secretary of Transportation and the five STB members serve as ex officio members.

The council provides advice on regulatory, policy and legislative matters, as appropriate, to the STB chairman, Secretary of Transportation, U.S. Senate Committee on Commerce, Science and Transportation, and the House of Representatives Transportation and Infrastructure Committee.

Delp is a graduate of Penn State University and is a major supporter of its logistics school educational programs and activities.

Lansdale Warehouse is a family-owned and operated third-party logistics provider located in a suburb of Philadelphia. ISO 9001 certified, the company provides customers with logistics services including handling, storage, packaging and distribution services in a secure public and contract warehousing environment.

Delp also recently received the annual Good Scout Award presented by the Boy Scout Council in the part of Pennsylvania where he lives.
