Amazon CDL Drivers Unionize in Kentucky

Amazon’s CDL drivers at the Shepherdsville, KY facility have voted to join the Teamsters — the first group of Amazon tractor-trailer drivers in the U.S. to unionize.

Drivers say they want better pay, clearer work rules, and improved conditions. Amazon maintains it already offers competitive wages and benefits.

The vote is considered a major milestone that may encourage other Amazon CDL drivers nationwide to organize.

Family Business Succession: Key Takeaways

Successful succession requires early planning, clear communication, and separating ownership from management. Choose successors based on competence, define roles, prepare for unexpected events, and update the plan regularly as the family and business evolve.

Walmart Boosts Holiday Speed with High-Tech Fulfillment

CNN reports that Walmart is showcasing its new high-tech fulfillment centers, where data and automation work together to push out holiday orders faster than ever. The company is betting that quicker delivery will help attract cautious holiday shoppers.

Winter Warehouse Floors — Key Points

Snow, ice, salt, and sand tracked into a warehouse can make floors slippery and damage the surface. To reduce risks, keep indoor temperatures steady, clean entrance areas frequently, and use proper matting and floor-care routines to prevent wear and winter-related hazards.

Employee Engagement Is Dropping Fast

A new global survey shows employee engagement has fallen sharply, while burnout remains extremely high. Workers say they need more recognition, better workload balance, and clearer communication from leadership.

The report warns that companies focusing on transparency, flexibility, and authentic leadership will be far better positioned to retain talent and maintain stability.
