American Chain of Warehouses, Inc. named experienced logistics professional Bruce Montgomery as Executive Vice President of the nonprofit organization consisting of regional third-party logistics warehouse companies.

He succeeds William Jurus, who died suddenly on June 22 after serving loyally for many years as the organization’s Vice President.

He is particularly well versed in the requirements and solutions responsive to fast moving Consumer Packaged Goods companies, having begun his career with nearly 20 years of service at Nabisco. Montgomery is well known throughout the logistics industry, with more than 25 years’ experience in supply chain practice, 3PL business development and recruiting new talent to the field.

Montgomery, a graduate of the University of North Texas, and Logistics Management Development Program at Michigan State University, is based in Dallas. He is active in the Warehousing & Educational Research Council and Council of Supply Chain Management Professionals.

Delp, who also serves as president of Lansdale Warehouse Co., said Montgomery will promote ACWI members’ supply chain services to that help companies reduce costs and increase flexibility with scalable warehousing and distribution solutions.
